- Retaining 20 or more natural teeth until age 80: Our campaign, inspired by Japan’s 80-20 initiative, aims to assist individuals, especially in aging societies, in preserving at least 20 of their own teeth by the age of 80. We recognize the importance of maintaining natural teeth for overall health and quality of life, particularly as individuals age. Through education, preventive care, and accessible dental services, we strive to support people in achieving this milestone, ensuring a healthier and more fulfilling life as they grow older.
- Achieving 99.9% dental caries-free infants, children, adolescents, and young adults: Our goal is to reach an exceptionally high rate of dental caries-free individuals within these age groups. We emphasize the significance of preventive measures from early childhood to adolescence by promoting proper oral hygiene practices, regular dental check-ups, and education on the significance of a balanced diet. By doing so, we aim to significantly reduce the prevalence of dental caries and ensure optimal oral health for the younger population.
- Attaining 99.9% gingival health in infants, children, adolescents, and young adults: We strive to achieve an overwhelmingly high percentage of individuals with healthy gums within these age brackets. Our focus extends beyond cavity prevention to include gum health, emphasizing the importance of proper oral hygiene, regular cleanings, and periodontal care. Through education and accessible dental care, we aim to minimize gingival issues and promote overall gum health for all age groups.
- Promoting biannual dental check-ups among Malaysians: To encourage regular dental check-ups at least twice a year among the Malaysian public. By advocating for regular dental examinations, we aim to instill a culture of preventive care and early intervention for oral health issues. Routine check-ups allow for timely detection and management of dental problems, ensuring better oral health outcomes and reducing the risk of more serious conditions. Through awareness campaigns and accessible dental services, we aim to make regular check-ups a standard practice for everyone in Malaysia.
